Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy

At STM Journals Shop, we value your satisfaction and aim to ensure a smooth and transparent experience. This policy outlines our terms regarding returns, order cancellations, and refund requests.


Return Policy 📦

Due to the nature of academic journals and printed publications, returns are generally not accepted once the order is delivered.

However, returns may be considered in the following exceptional cases:

  • You received a damaged or defective product
  • You received an incorrect item that differs from what you ordered

In such cases:

  • You must notify us within 3 working days of delivery.
  • Send a clear photo of the received item(s) and packaging to [email protected].
  • If approved, we will replace the item or issue a credit note, as applicable.

📌 Please note: Opened, used, or digital content (e.g., online journal access or e-books) are not eligible for return under any circumstances.


Order Cancellation Policy ❌

1. Before Dispatch

  • You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it or before it is dispatched, whichever is earlier.
  • To cancel, email us at [email protected] with your order number and reason for cancellation.
  • If eligible, we will initiate a full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

2. After Dispatch

  • Cancellations are not possible once an order has been shipped or a digital product has been accessed.
  • For subscriptions, once the first issue is delivered or accessed online, cancellation is no longer allowed.

Refund Policy 💸

Refunds are processed under the following conditions:

✅ Eligible Refund Situations:

  • Duplicate payment made for the same order
  • Payment made for a product/service that is out of stock or unavailable
  • Approved cancellations before dispatch
  • Order not delivered due to our error and no replacement possible

❌ Non-Refundable Situations:

  • Orders for which the digital content has been accessed/downloaded
  • Delays in postal/courier services (unless the order is lost and confirmed undelivered)
  • Change of mind or ordering errors by the customer

Refund Processing Timeline 🔄

  • Once your refund is approved, it will be initiated within 5–7 business days.
  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method (Credit/Debit card, UPI, Net Banking, etc.).
  • The time taken to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

How to Request a Refund or Cancellation? 📬

  • Your Order ID
  • Reason for request
  • Any supporting documentation (e.g., payment receipt, photo evidence for damaged items)

Our support team will respond within 2 business days and guide you through the next steps.
